投资资本权利扩张与管制的辩证法--FTAA投资规则的规范分析

文章对FTAA有关投资规则进行了规范分析,并在与NAFTA有关规定进行比较的基础上,对FTAA投资规则草案所反映的投资资本权利扩张和东道国对其的管制之间的博弈关系进行了思考.     

Unemployment duration and the interactions between unemployment insurance and social assistance

Existing studies suggest that reforms that reduce the generosity of the unemployment benefits should lower unemployment. Despite the large number of such reforms implemented in Europe in the past decades, evidence from various data sources shows very little correlation with the evolution of unemployment. This paper suggests that the scant success of these labour market reforms can be explained by the interactions between unemployment insurance and other social assistance programmes. Evidence from the European Community Household Panel shows that recipients of unemployment insurance who are also eligible for other welfare schemes are indeed less sensitive to changes in the level and the duration of their benefits.     

Past Returns and Investment Trust Discounts

Abstract:   The relationship between past net asset value returns and the current discount on investment trusts is investigated. The relationship is weaker for the component that is common to all trusts in the same sector, and is significantly stronger for more liquid trusts. The time lag before returns have their full impact on discounts is consistent with the requirements of distinguishing 'skill' from noise. Although discounts vary widely even within the same sector, the range of variation appears to be consistent with an arbitrage equilibrium, in which the profits of exploiting apparent pricing anomalies are just insufficient to invite arbitrage trades.

The Free Cash Flow Anomaly Revisited: Finnish Evidence

Abstract:  This paper examines the performance of an investment strategy based on free cash flows using financial statement data of Finnish companies during the period 1992-2002. The analysis in this paper is motivated by the so-called free cash flow anomaly previously documented e.g. in Hackel, Livnat and Rai (2000) . Using annual financial statement information, we identify large-capitalization companies with positive free cash flows, low free cash flow multiples, and low financial leverage. Since a portfolio of these companies is found to consistently outperform the market index, our results suggest that the free cash flow anomaly also exists in the Finnish stock market.     

Limits to Investment Exhilarationism

The aim of the paper is to understand the limits of an exhilarationist regime from a theoretical point of view. We propose a model where distributive shares are endogenously determined by assuming labor productivity to vary with the level of output/capacity utilization due to economies of scale. With an additional assumption of investment being determined by profit share we have a self-reinforcing interaction between the level of output and distribution of income in this model. Is there a limit to such a cumulative process? Here we analyze this question without relying on exogenous mechanisms such as ``ceiling/floor'' concepts.

历史遗产保护是中国实践科学发展观，走可持续发展道路的重要组成部分。上海实施最严格的保护制度，开展试点工作。以试点项目中74号街坊为例，从房地产投资商的角度，对这类特殊项目的投资和成本管理所应关注的几个关键问题进行了探讨，提出自己的观点，为同类项目提供参考和借鉴。     

Voucher Privatization: A detour on the road to transition?

We explore an overlooked aspect of the design of the Czech voucher privatization programme, namely, the consequences of allowing individuals to distribute their vouchers among the voucher privatization funds (VPFs). We develop and analyse a model of voucher privatization in which we study the problem facing individuals who invest their vouchers in VPFs which, in turn, are able to use their skills to alter the performances of the firms in which they acquire shares. The VPFs have different skills and, by their bids and subsequent joint ownership patterns, affect the performances of the firms in their funds. We show that even in the case in which voucher holders have identical and full information, and wish to allocate their vouchers to the VPFs in a manner consistent with the maximization of economy–wide profit, a coordination failure generally prevents the implementation of this efficient outcome. Uncertainty, as well as differing payouts by the VPFs, is shown to exacerbate the problem. We conclude that there was an inherent flaw in the design of the Czech voucher scheme. 日本对华直接投资对中日贸易的影响

20世纪90年代以来，日本对华直接投资中对制造业投资的比重不断提高，因而其对中日贸易关系的影响也越来越大。日本对华直接投资对中日贸易规模的影响主要通过替代效应、诱发效应、逆出口效应、贸易转向效应表现出来。总体说来，日本对华直接投资对中日贸易的替代效应很小，而对中日贸易发展的推动作用则非常明显．日本对华直接投资对中日贸易商品结构也产生了极为重要的影响，具体表现为日本对华出口的工业制成品的比重不断降低，而各种关键零部件和生产设备的比重不断提高：中国对日出口中工业品的比重、特别是工业制成品的比重则逐步提高。
